How to reverse time while using a Fitting Simulator in Catia V5?
   
Objective : To show the assembling operation of the parts in an Assembly.

Logic : The track is defined for the parts involved in an assembly that explode and disassemble in a definite path.

Step 1: The CATProduct that is in an assembled condition is taken for this activity.

Step 2: Using Fitting Simulator module the path (Track) is defined for the disassembling operation.

Step 3: Pick the track on the specification tree and choose the reverse time option from the contextual menu using your RMB.

Step 4: We find that the initial and final position of the track got interchanged.

Step 5: Play the track to see the disassembling of the assembly of interest.

Using this trick we recorded the track during the disassembling operation and then played it reverse to show the assembling using the same path.

  
   
Tip 2  
How to insert a TIF file in CATDrawing?  
   

Scenario: Attempting to insert a TIF file in Catia Drawing throws an error.

  
Trick:

Step 1: Open the image in Irfan View and choose the save as option file type as TIF

Step 2: Choose the CCITT Fax 4 option from the TIFF Save options and save a copy of the image.

Step 3: Now insert the new image in Catia Drawing using Insert - > Picture option from the Drop Down Menu

You will have the tif image inserted in the Drawing sheet without any trouble.
