| SPEOS is a unique and world’s
most widely used light simulation
software. SPEOS helps the designers
to simulate all the photometric and
colorimetric characteristics of the
light on manufactured products of
any size, from electronic goods to
automotive and airplane. This set
of solutions will provide all the
information pertinent to light, such
as quality, distribution in 3D space,
color, perception and quality.
SPEOS is a natural extension to mechanical CAD software for total virtual prototyping. SPEOS imports and exports your mechanical CAD files (IGES, STEP, SAT and DXF formats). Its “sewing” function enables you to adapt imported files for CAD light simulation.
SPEOS integrates photometry, colorimetry, lighting and photo-realism capabilities fully based on physics. Its live-measured library of material, sources and sensors brings highly realistic virtual prototypes, giving light information.
SPEOS helps to simulate the light reflections, which directly impact the ergonomics of the manufactured product, and even by taking into account the real human eye perception characteristics. Its unique eye- vision model provides answers about perception of a 3D environment often needed for ergonomic and safety applications.
Speos has two versions; one being
a stand-alone application, which
integrates onto any mechanical CAD/CAM
software and SPEOS CAA, which
is custom-built for the CATIA range
of PLM software. This application
lets you interact with CAD by means
of action/reaction method allowing
you to learn by virtual experience,
improving quality of designs by
direct communication.
Thanks to CATIA V5, the optical
performances at each stage of the
project is memorized, thus assisting
you to measure your progress, also
giving you simultaneous access to
a range of innovative applications
and adding the much-required ability
to animate and bring in kinematics
into your illuminations and lighting
designs.
With this unique development platform CAA V5, from dassault systems, you can totally integrate all the applications and by simulation, you will be able to define the optical performances of your final product and also define and correct your geometry even before the first physical prototype is made. In other words, it is the only way for you to be sure that your product will work and will meet your specifications.
