“ Hi. My name is Mr. Richard from Bangalore. I have a query. I am using CATIA V5 R 16 and I have a very strange problem which I have tried fixing but I am not able to. The Area Fill with an Image in CATDrawing does not print. Is there any variable that I need to create?

Your Problem

Scenario:

1. Create a new CATDrawing
2. Create a circle in the drawing
3. Fill circle with hatch pattern using Area Fill command with Automatic Area Detection
4. Right-click the hatch pattern, select Properties
5. Change the pattern to Type: Image, select Dassault Systemes logo
6. Select File-Print, Preview to see image is shown correctly
7. Print the drawing, image is not shown on the printed page

Solution

In CATIA V5R16SP04 and above, problem is solved by creating the following variable using the Environment Editor:

PRINT_GDI_POLYPOLYGON=1
