EDST operates from over 20,000 sq.ft of floor area spread across 5 locations. All offices are interconnected using 24 hour modern data communication facilities servers of which is manned round the clock, 365 days. All locations have Local Networks with Unix and Windows NT/2000 operating systems. The systems department at Bangalore maintains the Web Servers, Mail servers as well as FTP servers. In order to get a better response time to all locations, many of these servers are located in USA. Firewalls and other authentication procedures and systems protect the information flowing within the data communication network. Each employee is provided with a separate email ID for all official communication.
EDST is in the process of setting up an Internet/Intranet based Sales Force Automation and Project/Process Management Systems. These systems will enable the sales and support teams to keep track of each customer's problems and respond to each issue in a very timely manner. The project management system will help the SSD to distribute the project execution across the locations at the same time to monitor the progress, issues and time spent in projects, which are required to successfully execute the technology projects.
The infrastructure of EDST includes over 100 computer systems (Unix as well as Windows).
