This Mega 3 City event organized by EDS Technologies in association with IBM PLM & Dassault Systemes was well received with very encouraging response from the auto suppliers across all regions. This event was organized in Pune, Delhi and Chennai from the 14th of July till the 20th of July 2006.
This event brought under one roof , Component Suppliers of all sizes supplying components to almost all major OEM’s in India. The key learning’s from these events were topics like Global Trends on Supplier Collaboration, Case Studies from successful Suppliers across the globe including India, Challenges faced by the suppliers and proven solutions.
The post tea session included PLM domain presentations by speakers from Dassault Systemes who shared experiences on collaborative tool design & manufacturing, functional approach to product design amongst others. This session was followed by a interactive Q & A session where the delegates had the unique opportunity to meet the speakers from Dassault Systemes and IBM PLM and EDS Technologies under one roof.
The highlight of these events was the customer presentation in each city. EDS Technologies made sure there was one speaker from each of the cities who could talk to the delegates present on the challenges faced, how they were overcome by using CATIA, how they could reduce time to market, increase efficiency, minimize errors and in turn produce better products for their OEM’s.
In Pune, we had Mr. Atul Maheshwari, Deputy Manager, Engineering from Tata Auto Comp Systems Ltd, Interiors & Plastics Div, (TACO – IPD). This was followed by Delhi, where we had Mr. R V Kumar, Assistant Manager, Product Development & Engineering, Pricol Limited who shared a lot of information with the suppliers present and rounding up the event down south, we had Mr. Krishna Kumar, Asst Vice President, Engineering, LUCAS TVS who shared with all the delegates key insights into how CATIA has benefited Lucas TVS and enhanced product efficiency and also the key advantage being collaborating with their OEM. All the speakers were awarded mementos on behalf of EDS Technologies.
This was followed by a thank you note from regional managers of EDS Technologies.
