VT MÄK Demonstrates Maritime Capabilities, Game Interoperability, and Web Innovation at ITEC 2013

MÄK introduces new maritime features to its visualization and simulation products; it also reveals its newest web-enabled technologies and interoperability module for the Unity game engine

Cambridge, Mass., May 22, 2013 - VT MÄK, (MÄK), a company of VT Systems, Inc. (VT Systems), today announced that it will be showcasing its complete line of simulation software with a focus on new maritime capabilities at ITEC 2013, May 22-24 (Booth D120) in Rome, Italy. The company will also demonstrate several new products, including the MÄK WebLVC Server and MÄK WebLVC Suite, which enable web-based federates to participate in distributed simulations, and VR-Link for Unity, an HLA/DIS interoperability module for Unity game engine.

The demonstrations will highlight key product capabilities including:
  1. New Maritime Features: MÄK will display a new dynamic ocean in VR-Vantage and complex wave/sea state models; the models enable users to visualize sea swells, wind waves, and capillary waves both above and below water, as well as boat rocking models, realistic kelvin wakes, and propeller/rotor wash. MÄK's demonstrations of VR-Forces will focus on anti-submarine warfare (ASW) capabilities, including sonobuoys, dipping sonar, thermoclines, and weapon improvements.

  2. Web Enabled Innovation - MÄK is combining web technology with traditional COTS modeling and simulation products to provide powerful and lightweight solutions - high-performing, yet accessible anywhere. The company will demonstrate how the MÄK WebLVC Server and the MÄK WebLVC Suite show how companies can put the web to work for M&S to create interoperable web applications.

  3. Game Interoperability - MÄK is bringing HLA and DIS interoperability to the Unity game engine with its new product, VR-Link for Unity. Built on MÄK's popular VR-Link simulation networking toolkit, this asset package allows you to bring Unity-based games into existing distribution simulation environments using standard Modeling & Simulation protocols.

  4. Simulation Interoperability - MÄK will be showcasing its entire HLA Evolved supported product line, continuing the company's dedication to simulation interoperability.
