ANTHROSCAN enables the measurement of large groups of people
- Quickly and efficiently.

Creating your own ready-made sizes and tables is now child‘s play.

Serial measurements for ready-made sizes and tables have always been time-consuming and expensive - until now. Manual measurement (by measuring tape) is both labor intensive and error-prone and makes measurement at a later date more or less impossible. The solution? ANTHROSCAN!

ANTHROSCAN is an efficient system for serial measurements.
It consists of an extremely precise body scanner and unique, powerful software.

ANTHROSCAN is the system for professionals – the experts define the rules for measurement themselves. ANTHROSCAN combines the efficiency of the automatic acquisition of body measurements and the flexibility of enabling the user to define individual measurement rules - perfectly matching his own requirements.

In ANTHROSCAN, body measurement rules are first established by means of so-called “landmarks”, (defined points on the body). The rest of the process is then carried out automatically. With just a few mouse clicks, the user tags decisive points on the body. ANTHROSCAN then acquires the pre-defined body measurements automatically - time-consuming acquisition of every single body measurement can thus be dispensed with.

ANTHROSCAN is specially designed to support complex applications, in which several body postures have to be edited during measurement. ANTHROSCAN enables the user to define scanning postures and to simultaneously process these postures for each subject person - then the results of the measurement process are combined into one single measurement list.

For larger serial measurements, ANTHROSCAN’s data analysis system displays cutting-edge efficiency and a consistently high standard of body measurement – and both of these play a major role in economically optimal implementation. ANTHROSCAN not only supports the administration and processing of several body postures, but also performs the landmark-based automated measurement process. Pre-defined measuring schemata (e.g. ISO 7250 and DIN 8559) facilitate the procurement of data.

ANTHROSCAN is
• sheer flexibility
• freely definable measurement postures
• user-specific landmarks and measuring rules
• the free combination of automatic and interactive measurements

ANTHROSCAN fulfills ISO 20685 …
• Anatomic landmarks (chapter 3) supported by the MARKER option
• Posture definition (4 postures in chapter 4) programmable or predefined (V3)
• Hardware definitions (chapter 4.3) met (with Vitus Smart XXL)
• Major software requirements met*
• Relationship to ISO 7250 and ISO 8559 predefined for major dimensions
• Analyzed data exported in raw data format (csf format)

ANTHROSCAN enables fast & precise scanning:
• Scanning volume 1200 x 1200 x 2100 (W x D x H)
• Scanning of different postures without time delay
• Marker extraction and marker geometry compensation (if markers are used)
• Scanning carried out inside an illuminated booth
• 2-step calibration process for pinpoint accuracy

ANTHROSCAN and customization:
• Interface to integrate new postures (up to 8 per scenario)
• Interface to program new measurements (in XML-integrated language like BASIC)
• Interface for measurement analysis process control (view, zoom, pan …)

MARKER extraction by ANTHROSCAN:
• Markers (delivered by Human Solutions) are glued on the skeleton point
• Test person is scanned with markers
• Markers are identified by ANTHROSCAN
• Markers are used as landmarks – measurement process is supported by marker position
• Scanned marker geometry can be excluded for surface measurements
• Marker package (25 Markers + 1000 glue labels) available
