How can all/selective Sketcher constraints be seen in 3d? |
| |
Scenario:
1. Go to Tools>Options>General>Parameters and Measure>Constraint and Dimensions and select the option “Display Mode available as Knowledge Parameter”. |
| |
|
| |
| 2. Create a sketch inside any CATPart. |
|
| |
|
| |
3. Come out of sketcher workbench
4. Create a new Parameter of type Boolean name it “Activity” and set its default value to “True” |
| |
|
| |
5. In Part Design workbench, Click on f(x)
6. Select Sketch created in step-2 from Specification Tree. |
| |
|
| |
| 7. Select any Sketcher Constraint and look for its Boolean Parameter of ‘Display Mode’ |
| |
|
| |
| 8. In Formulas Panel click on “Add Formula” and equate its value to Boolean Parameter “Activity” which was created in step-4 above. |
| |
|
| |
| 9. Repeat Step5-Step8 for some of the other sketcher constraints |
| |
|
| |
10. Change the Value of Boolean Parameter “Activity” a few times.
Results:
1. When Activity =“True”, All selected sketcher constraints are visible in 3d |
| |
|
| |
| 2. When Activity =“False”, All selected sketcher constraints are again invisible in 3d |
| |
|
| |
Additional Information:
It is recommended that following settings should be activated in order to be able to see the sketcher constraints in 3d even after they are edited.
Tools>options>Infrastructure>Part Infrastructure>Display and activate “Parameters of features and constraints” |
