EDS Technologies participated in "FUTURA 2013", "SHOCKAERONZ – VI " and " PITSTOP ’13 " events by conducting CAD contest in Coimbatore 
 
EDS Technologies participated in "FUTURA 2013" event organized by Bannari Amman Institute of Technology in Sathyamangalam on 3rd Septermber 2013
 
EDS Technologies in association with the Department of Aeronautical Engineering, Bannari Amman Institute of Technology (BIT) organized CAD contest “AIR WAFFE”, as part of their FUTURA 2013, a national level technical symposium on 3rd September 2013.
 
As part of the BIT technical symposium, EDST organized CAD contest AIR WAFFE for the various engineering college students. The event had close to 360 students participating. EDST conducted the CAD contest as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility and to encourage the young engineering talents. Students across Tamil Nadu participated in the event and made the event a grand success. This event helped the upcoming engineers to understand the latest trends in the PLM industry.
 
AIR WAFFE is an individual event comprising of two rounds. In the preliminary round students had to undergo aptitude test were the questions mainly focused on the fundamentals of CADD. Among the many interested candidates, only 20 teams made it to the final round.  All the teams were asked to create a design of their own, the final output should be an innovative design and focusing mainly on Aerospace industries.  Along with the final design, candidates were asked to submit an abstract carrying information on the advantages of their design in the market G. Karthi Raja & P. Anish Arivinth from Park College of Engineering and Technology were the winners of the contest with cash prize of Rs 2000/-. D. Dinesh Kumar from Park College of Engineering and Technology was the runner up of the contest with cash prize of Rs 1500/-.
 
  
 
EDS Technologies participated in "SHOCKAERONZ – VI " event organized by Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology in Coimbatore on 6th September 2013
 
EDS Technologies in association with the Department of Aeronautical Engineering, Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology (HCET) organized a CADD Modelling in SHOCKAERONZ – VI, a technical symposium on 6th September 2013.
 
As part of the HCET technical symposium, EDST organized a CADD Modelling contest for the various engineering college students. The event had close to 70 students participating. EDST conducted the CADD Modelling contest as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility and to encourage the young engineering talents. Students across Tamil Nadu participated in the event and made the event a grand success. This event helped the upcoming engineers to understand the latest trends in the PLM industry.
 
CAD Modelling in SHOCKAERONZ – VI is an individual event comprising of two rounds. In the first round, students were asked to take part in an aptitude test, were the questions mainly focused on the fundamentals of CADD. In the following round, the students were asked to produce the given full-fledged assembly design using CATIA V5R19. The winners were judged based on the time taken and design completeness and also their performance in the aptitude test. Ms C. Tamilmani from PSG College of Technology was the winner with cash prize of Rs 2000/-. Tharikaa Ramesh from Kumaraguru College of Technologywas the first runner up with cash prize of Rs 1000/- and G. KarthiRaja from Park College of Engineering and Technology was the second runner up with cash prize of Rs. 500/-.
 
  
 
 
EDS Technologies participated in " PITSTOP ’13 " event organized by Karunya University in Coimbatore on 6th September 2013
 
EDS Technologies in association with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Karunya University organized CAD contest “PRO- X”, as part of their PITSTOP ’13, a technical symposium on 6th September 2013.

As part of the Karunya University technical symposium, EDST organized CAD contest PRO- X for the various engineering college students. The event had close to 430 students participating. EDST conducted the CAD contest as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility and to encourage the young engineering talents. Students across Tamil Nadu participated in the event and made the event a grand success. This event helped the upcoming engineers to understand the latest trends in the PLM industry.

PRO-X is an individual event comprising of two rounds. Among the many interested candidates, only 30 students made it to the final round.  All the teams were asked to create a isometric model based on the given three views. Winners were judged based on the time taken, sketch, constraints, and drafting. R. Maria Antony Meju & C. Tamilmani from PSG College of Technology were the winners of the contest with cash prize of Rs 2000/-. P. Rajasekar & T. Sakthieswaran from P.A. College of Engineering and Technology were the runner up of the contest with cash prize of Rs 1000/-.
